The nicest beaches in Ibiza - Part I

Ses salines playas bonitas Ibiza

Ibiza has more than 50 beaches and coves where is easy to access, and there are also some of them where it could be necessary to walk along a slightly difficult terrain. Flanked by pine woods, sand dunes, cliffs and with turquoise and aquamarine waters, the great majority of them seem to have been taken from a postcard. There are not a few, so we should start our selection with a first batch including the 5 most beautiful beaches and coves all around Ibiza.

Ses Salines

This virgin beach is flanked by pine trees and juniper trees, and is one of the most beautiful and famous in the island. Its transparent waters and the smooth gradient in its sea bottoms make it a natural swimming pool. It’s a very popular place for national and international celebrities, and its busiest time is just after midday, the best moment to see and be seen.

Aigües Blanques

At the northwest part of the island you can find this spectacular beach with cliffs, from which you can contemplate the Tagomago’s island shoreline. It’s traditionally one of the most preferred among the nudist bathers. If you want to get dry with the sun, then you would better go in the morning, because during the evening the beach keeps in the shade.

Platjes de Comte

One of the most famous of the island, due to its spectacular water colors, which ranges from turquoise tones to the cobalt ones. The coves which compose this beautiful group of virgin coast are pretty small, so you would better get there early, otherwise perhaps you won’t find a place where to extend your towel. Please don’t leave before the sunset!

Cala Benirrás

This is one of the most beautiful and best known coves in the north of Ibiza. Surrounded by forest hills and located behind a nice seafaring corner with boatyards, it has a remarkable family atmosphere. Its popularity has significantly increased during the last decade, because of the drums party which takes place every Sunday at sunset.

Cala d´Hort

You will really like the boatyard corner which encloses the cove in one of its ends, and also the tranquility of its waters on windless days and the paellas of its seafood restaurants. But what will make you not to forget this place, are the wonderful sea views of the iconic islets Es Vedrá and Es Vedranell, which you will for sure enjoy. The parking area here is not quite big, so it’s better to get there early.
